Tornado stricken - sick disabled home owner needs expert opinion

I was able to check out the link regarding radiant scams. I'm amazed how much disinformation there is about Radiant decking and radiant barriers. You don't install the barrier under the shingles. The decking has a barrier adhered to the OSB on one side. That side goes DOWN facing the attic space NOT UP and under the shingles. In order for RB to work there needs to be at least a 6 inch air gap between the barrier and insulation, etc. I've seen no evidence that Radiant barrier is a scam if properly installed. As I said before I do agree that the only situations where it should be done is new construction or if you need all new decking on an existing house.
